The main goal of our new service "private cooking" is to introduce our guests and travellers to the Cretan gastronomy.
We want the visitors to become aware of the raw materials, the freshness and the plethora of ingredients in our land.
The Cretan gastronomy has been an exquisite example of nutritional culture throughout the years. The olive oil, the greens, vegetables, fish, fruit, meat, dairy and aromatic herbs are integral ingredients of the Cretan diet. The simplicity in taste and the mastery synthesis of the recipes are the pillars of the Mediterranean diet.
We come up with new cooking ideas, but always follow “the rules” of Cretan cuisine. We are passionate about food, we insist on using seasonal ingredients and emphasise on the simplicity of tastes.
Most of our ingredients come from our gardens or farmers that we trust their practices so to bring to your plate the best possible food.
Selected wines from wineries around Crete will fulfil your dining experience with us. Taste some great fruity white wines bud also aged ones , try the roze which is the best friend of almost all the Cretan dishes or taste the red local varieties and feel the Cretan terroir.
During the private cooking service you can choose either to lay on your sunbed by the pool or why not, join us in the preparation of the meal and astonish your friends by your expertise.
